The Clore River occurrence is located on the western side of the Clore River, approximately 2.0 kilometres south of its mouth on the Zymoetz River.

The area is underlain by andesite of the Upper Triassic Lower Telkwa Formation (Hazelton Group).

Locally, a shear zone hosts chalcopyrite mineralization. Pyrite-sericite-silica alteration zones occur with a large number of fractures hosted by metamorphosed (hornfelsed) sedimentary members of the Lower Jurassic Telkwa formation.

In 2005, a sample (07MM07-10) taken by the British Columbia Geological Survey assayed 0.295 gram per tonne gold, 16.0 grams per tonne silver, and 1.35 per cent copper (Assessment Report 31853). In 2010, two grab samples (KK 12-10 and KK 11-10) assayed up to 0.660 gram per tonne gold, 22.6 grams per tonne silver and 0.387 per cent copper (Assessment Report 31853).

During 2008 through 2013, Casa Minerals Inc. completed programs of prospecting, geological mapping, geochemical (rock and soil) sampling and ground magnetometer surveys on the area as the Pitman property. In 2014, Abcana Capital Inc. entered into an agreement with Casa Minerals to acquire the Pitman property. During 2015 through 2017, Abcana and Casa Minerals completed programs of prospecting, reconnaissance geological mapping, and soil and rock sampling on the Pitman property.
